About the Role
DSV is recruiting for a Trainee Freight Forwarder within the Irish department. The role is for individuals who are interested in a career in Freight and have a desire to learn. After a successful probationary period, candidates will have the opportunity to join the "Young DSV" programme, which supports development and understanding of logistics on a global scale.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across both Import and Export shipments
* Liaise professionally with customers, overseas offices, and internal colleagues via phone and email
* Update, check, and maintain accurate shipment information within DSV systems (full system training will be provided)
* Plan and coordinate export trailers for Northern Ireland and Ireland
* Provide timely Proof of Delivery (POD) to customers and overseas offices upon completion of shipments
* Investigate, resolve, and follow up on customer and operational queries to ensure prompt resolution of any issues
* Monitor shipments closely, following up on collections and deliveries
* Complete general administrative duties accurately
