Our client, a multi-national manufacturing group, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its production site near Glasgow. Key requirements of the role include the following: carrying out preventative maintenance, fault-finding and installation work across a range of equipment related to manufacturing. Experience with drives, PLCs and HMIs is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on production equipment.
* Diagnose and repair faults on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
* Carry out installation work to provide services to equipment.
* Undertake facilities repairs and maintenance work as needed.
* Collaborate with subcontractors when necessary.
* Liaise with machine manufacturers for technical support.
* Identify and procure necessary parts and materials for maintenance tasks.
* Experience with print machinery is beneficial but not essential.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly with drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills for liaising with subcontractors and manufacturers.
* Flexibility to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with print machinery.
Hours: Rotating shift pattern week 1 Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; week 2 Monday to Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
