Job Description
As a member of the Solution Consulting team supporting the Energy and Utilities group, you will guide technical strategy for large energy customers. This is a hands-on technical consulting role that requires the ability to both broaden and deepen solution delivery and positioning during sales cycles.
What You Get To Do In This Role
The Solution Consultant is a technical advisor who develops, positions, and provides product-specific solutions during sales cycles while aiming to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.
* Support product sales as a technical and domain expert on a client-facing sales team
* Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and demonstrate how our solution meets their needs
* Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners, and ServiceNow colleagues
* Guide strategic programs in top accounts, including customer journey sessions for roadmap and outcome agreements
* Provide feedback to product management about enhancements to address customer needs and drive additional value
* Share best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to improve team quality and efficiency
* Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation
* Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows
Qualifications
* Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including AI-powered tools or automating workflows
* 5+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience
* Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions
* Experience collaborating with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
* Territory management skills, including pipeline building and coordinating with Sales to drive execution
* Willingness to travel
