Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain a high profile around the development/office, ensuring residents are checked within our requirements.
2. In the event of an emergency, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
3. Carry out daily checks to ensure the building is safe and secure, keeping all communal areas, gardens, and grounds clean and maintained through effective management of contractors.
4. Ensure all works are completed by raising orders, managing contractors, monitoring progress, and signing off completion.
5. Help build a sense of community by encouraging and supporting a Social Committee to plan and run social events for all residents.
6. Build and maintain links with residents' family members, local authorities, doctors, social workers, health authorities, etc., as required and appropriate.
7. Maintain records in line with internal procedures, ensuring all data is protected and kept secure at all times.
8. Complete the development diary and leave accurate and comprehensive handover notes for the permanent House Manager, outlining any occurrences and actions taken.
9. Assist with sales listed with our partner company, Retirement Homesearch, make new residents feel welcome, and help them settle in; where possible, be present to welcome them.
10. Work across your local peer team of Development Managers for advice and support, and travel to team/company meetings on a monthly/annual basis.
11. Provide exceptional customer service in a face-to-face environment.
12. Communicate effectively, resolving issues and complaints professionally.
13. Understand the importance of health & safety, with experience handling challenging or emergency situations.
14. Operate Microsoft Office applications confidently and learn new systems as required.
15. Keep accurate records, demonstrating organized and methodical administration skills.
16. Build professional relationships with colleagues and customers, demonstrating an outgoing personality, self-motivation, proactivity, team orientation, and innovation.
