Interim Headteacher - Primary School

We are pleased to be working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Maldon, Essex, who are seeking an experienced Interim Headteacher to join them as soon as possible for the remainder of the school year.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and approachable school leader who can provide stability and continuity during a key period. The school benefits from a dedicated staff team, engaged pupils, and strong local support, and is looking for someone who can lead with warmth, clarity, and purpose.
The role:
Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the school
Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
Support and motivate staff, working closely with governors and parents
Ensure a calm, positive, and well-organised learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader within a primary setting
Be able to step into the role quickly and confidently
Build positive relationships with staff, pupils, and the wider school community
Lead with a nurturing, child-centred approach and a clear focus on outcomes
