Programme Coordinator - Hair and Beauty — Paignton, Devon. Salary: £39,433 to £43,071 per annum. Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Full time/ Permanent. Location: Paignton, Devon. Job category/type: Academic.
Are you passionate about education and the hair and beauty industry? South Devon College is seeking a Programme Coordinator to play a key role in developing our Hair and Beauty curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of a diverse range of qualifications, including core subjects, functional skills, enrichment activities, and additional learner support.
* Lead curriculum design and ensure high-quality learning materials and schemes are in place, while supporting tutors with performance targets and improvement strategies.
* Manage student progression, attendance, and achievement, and ensure compliance with awarding bodies and regulatory standards.
* Play a key role in pastoral care, safeguarding, and personal development, while supervising staff, coordinating CPD, and contributing to recruitment and strategic planning.
* Work with industry partners, support innovation in teaching and learning, and contribute to the students' educational journeys.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a degree or vocational qualification in a relevant field with strong teaching experience and an awareness of best practice in subject areas with the ability to apply this in the development of the curriculum. Experience leading quality processes and supervising team members is required.
