This is an excellent opportunity to join the General Surgery department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful applicant will join a service that prides itself in effective leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent teamwork. We strive to challenge our existing working practices and constantly improve our service to deliver best practice guidance. We aim to deliver successful patient outcomes, whilst allowing patients to feel valued during their visits to the Trust.
This appointment is based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage but may have clinical activity at other satellite sites. The Lister Hospital enjoys a unique geographical location close to London and Cambridge and the Trust has a reputation for commitment to the highest standards of care, but also for a friendly and supportive approach.
Responsibilities
* Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the General and Emergency Surgery service and participation in strategic planning
* Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
* Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
* Active participation in continuing medical education
