Base pay range

Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare quotations for approval by the Service Manager.
* Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements for site service work.
* Take responsibility for paperwork such as lifting plans, permits to work and point of work risk assessments.
* Represent the Company and communicate effectively with Clients before, during and after the Site Work.
* Plan and prepare the tools and materials needed to do the job in a timely manner.
* Ensure work is performed to a high standard and on time, including activities such as Vibration Monitoring, Impeller Balancing, Internal Inspections (Confined Spaces), Crack Detection/Inspection, Laser Alignment, Bearings, Shafts and Impeller Changes, Motor Changes, and Seal Inspections and Changes.
* Complete and submit site reports using the online reporting system.
* Complete and submit Time Sheets.
* Prepare information for invoicing.
* Workshop refurbishments of fans and pumps (in-house).
* Identify spare parts from drawings and parts lists.
Skills and Experience Required
* Engineering qualifications such as HNC/HND preferable; relevant experience considered.
* Fan and Pump Maintenance (or similar rotating machinery).
* Assembly Work.
* Laser Alignment.
* In Situ Balancing.
* Grinding/Cutting/Welding.
* Lifting and Slinging.
* Vibration Analysis.
* FLT / MEWP Training.
* Confined Space Training (Low or Medium Risk).
* MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, CoPilot).

The majority of the work involves servicing and inspecting Heavy Duty Centrifugal Fans in Energy Recovery Facilities and Stock Pumps in Paper Mills. The role is technical and physical, typically in an industrial setting with strict safety requirements. Work may be physically demanding, require outdoor activity, and often be time-sensitive. The job requires working away, including overnight stays across most of the UK, typically 4–8 nights a month. While on site, the Engineer is expected to communicate regularly with the direct Supervisor and the Client’s Representative to update on progress. Supervision of third‑party contractors may be required, necessitating strong written and verbal communication skills.
