About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring History Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering engaging, ambitious lessons and fostering a love of History in young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high‑quality, well‑planned lessons.
* Inspire and motivate students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and strong historical understanding.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where needed.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of the History curriculum.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
* Participate in department meetings, professional development and whole‑school initiatives.
* Support enrichment activities, such as educational visits, clubs, and themed curriculum days.

We are looking for a teacher who:
* Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.

* Is reflective, organised, and eager to contribute to a successful department.
* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or is on track to achieve it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
