Primary Care Pharmacist (Band 7)
Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) invites applications for a primary care pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Team. The post holder will work across GP practices covering medicines management and pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, appropriate and cost‑effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.
Key responsibilities
Provide medicines reconciliation, Medicines Care & Review and pharmaceutical queries including management of shortages; promote quality, cost‑effective prescribing; work with senior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians; support the pharmacy hub providing remote support to practices.
Qualifications and experience
* Degree in Pharmacy
* Registered pharmacist on the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register
* Broad clinical knowledge and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good IT skills
* Car ownership and valid driving licence (business use on car insurance)
* Ability to work anywhere in Aberdeen city
* Independent prescriber status or in the process of completing this qualification (support provided)
Working hours and location
Hours available: 72 hours (2.0 WTE) – part‑time considered with a minimum of 21.6 hours per week. Location: Pharmacy Team, Aberdeen City HSCP.
