Job Description
Support the management team under the general direction of the Street Enforcement Manager in delivering services aligned with Council policies and priorities.
Address environmental quality issues such as fly-tipping, waste enforcement, nuisance vehicle complaints, littering, and fly posting. Coordinate the City's response to unauthorised traveller encampments.
Handle Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) issues and neighbour disputes, including statutory nuisance complaints about domestic noise, light, odour, and bonfire complaints.
Manage a varied caseload, using appropriate legislation to take actions including education, mediation, enforcement, and prosecution under different legislative powers.
This role involves weekend work with a 10% shift allowance.
This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS check.
Who are we looking for?
We seek candidates with knowledge of Environmental Health, Environmental Crime, ASB, Highways, and Noise legislation. Effective communication skills and understanding of customer care principles are essential.
