Toolmaker / Manual Machinist (Aerospace Manufacturing) Client An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Toolmaker / Manual Machinist to join an aerospace tooling manufacturer in NI. Our client supplies precision tooling to a portfolio of blue-chip aerospace customers and operates a strong, long-term order book, offering stability and long-term career prospects. This is a dedicated Toolmaker position, focused on the manufacture of precision tooling from drawings. It is not a role for fitters, maintenance engineers or service technicians. The successful candidate will be an experienced hands-on toolmaker with a background in manual machining and precision engineering. The Ideal Person We are keen to speak with candidates who are trained and experienced Toolmakers, with a strong background in precision machining rather than maintenance or fitting work. You will ideally have: * Proven experience as a Toolmaker or Manual Machinist * Minimum 5 years' experience in manual machining * Strong skills in turning, milling and grinding * Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings * Experience using manual lathes, milling machines and precision measuring equipment * High attention to detail and pride in producing precision tooling * Ability to work independently and maintain a tidy, organised work bay Responsibilities As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the manufacture of aerospace tooling components, including: * Turning, milling and grinding of precision tooling * Manufacturing tools and components directly from engineering drawings * Operating manual machine tools to tight tolerances * Using hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy * Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship * Working with minimal supervision as part of a skilled engineering team Location & Working Hours * Lisburn-based role, with occasional travel opportunities * 40-hour basic working week * Flexible working week available * Consistent overtime available, paid at premium rates Remuneration & Benefits * £32,000 - £42,000 per annum (DOE) * Regular, consistent overtime paid at enhanced rates * Private medical insurance * Pension scheme * Flexible working arrangements For further information on this vacancy, or across Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below in the strictest confidence.
