Senior Business Officer 9129 | Permanent contract | £26,403 to £28,142 per annum (Scale E) | 37 hours per week | Reed House, Norwich
Norfolk County Council invites you to be part of the HomeFirst Hub team as a full-time Senior Business Officer. The role supports safe discharges, admission avoidance, reablement opportunities and ongoing care planning for individuals in crisis and leaving hospital. The HomeFirst Hub collaborates with Norfolk Community Health & Care (NCH&C), NHS Acute colleagues, the Voluntary sector, and other NCC colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Answer and signpost calls and take referrals from healthcare professionals.
* Monitor inboxes, take notes from huddles, and update and distribute reports.
* Data input and updating patient records on Liquid Logic (LAS) and SystmOne.
* Work as part of a team using Teams, Excel, data entry and Microsoft Outlook.
* Multitask by word processing notes while handling phone calls.
* Be flexible and adaptive to new ways of working; maintain a positive attitude and respect for sensitive data.
Qualifications and Competencies
* Experience with Teams, Excel, data entry and Microsoft Outlook.
* Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with resilience and empathy.
* Comfort working with individuals in crisis and in crisis-related contexts.
* Willingness to work in a developing service and engage in a strong induction and ongoing learning.
* Excellent communication and team-working skills.
Working Arrangements
* Operational 7 days a week with a 4-week rotating pattern: Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00; Saturday 09:00–17:00; Sunday 10:00–16:00; 1 in 4 weekends.
* Hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Reed House office and Norwich Community Hospital.
