Our client, a recognised leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a dedicated and strategic Group Head of Sales / General Sales Manager to lead their sales operations, drive profitability, and maximise customer satisfaction within a dynamic dealership environment.
Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive basic salary up to £65,000, subject to experience
* OTE up to £90,000 with performance-based incentives

Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to boost profitability and expand market share
* Foster a positive working culture that emphasises accountability and continuous improvement
* Oversee all sales functions, including retail, finance, and administrative activities
* Ensure adherence to industry regulations and manufacturer requirements
* Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for development
* Collaborate closely with senior management to support the dealership’s growth plans
* Deliver excellent customer experiences to promote loyalty and repeat business
Qualifications
* Significant senior sales management experience within the motor trade, ideally over five years
* Proven track record as a General Sales Manager or General Manager within a franchised dealership
* Strong leadership skills with the capability to inspire and manage high‑performing teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Deep understanding of automotive retail processes and customer service excellence
* Results-driven with a strategic mindset
