Position Overview
SinoHydro B6 Corporation is seeking a competent, detail‑oriented, and professionally driven Assistant Contract Manager for the Tamakoshi‑V Hydroelectric Project based in Dolakha, Nepal. This project‑based role requires a technically sound and commercially aware professional who can support the administration and management of project contracts, assist with contractual correspondence and claims, maintain proper documentation, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams on contract‑related matters. The selected candidate will work closely with project leadership in ensuring contractual compliance and effective commercial support throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing contractual correspondence, notices, claims, and variation proposals
* Maintain proper contract records, document control systems, and contractual filing
* Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and site teams on contract‑related matters
* Support senior management in contract administration, contractual negotiations, and commercial management
* Assist in the preparation, review, and evaluation of:
o Claims
o Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
o Variation documentation
o Dispute‑related records and supporting documents
* Monitor contractual issues and ensure timely follow‑up on matters affecting project progress and commercial outcomes
* Support in drafting and organizing contractual communications with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
* Help ensure compliance with contractual obligations, procedures, and reporting requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
* Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration or contract management, preferably in hydropower or infrastructure projects
* Sound knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and EPC contract management
* Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
* Strong reporting, documentation, and coordination capability
* Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially:
o Excel
o Word
o PowerPoint
* Ability to work effectively in a project site environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
