Our Aberdeen Office is based in Loirston, Aberdeen and is home to our engineering support teams & energy services team. The Offices are modern with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.
Role Overview
The Head of SHEQ & ESG – NSMP Portfolio will be an integral part of the px portfolio leadership team covering the NSMP client assets. Working directly for the MD midstream and operating as a peer to the asset managers and asset development manager this role will ensure consistent high quality leadership in the SHEQ and ESG compliance levels across the three high hazard COMAH/SEVESO assets within NSMP’s international portfolio. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the asset managers in leading safe and efficient delivery of the COMAH site and associated pipelines. Providing a route to subject matter expertise in safety and regulatory frameworks applicable to the assets and regions in which they operate.
* Provide operational and strategic SHE leadership across the px managed NSMP owned portfolio of assets.
* Support the assets in identifying trends, launching improvement activities and embedding corporate enhancements across all areas of SHE performance.
* Ensure an asset appropriate implementation of SHE standards is achieved across the portfolio, ensuring compliance whilst tailoring to the asset requirements and capabilities.
* Provide oversight of ESG reporting standards and procedures, ensuring accurate credible and complaint reporting aligned with regulatory and client requirements.
Minimum Requirements
* Degree Qualified (or equivalent) in safety, environmental, risk, science or engineering discipline.
* Professional safety-related qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH) or equivalent knowledge gained through operational, project or maintenance delivery experience.
* Professional experience in a high hazard environment or industry.
* Detailed working knowledge and understanding of UK & Norway quality, environmental, health and safety legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Experience of interacting with competent Authorities and key stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multi-site arrangements with diverse requirements, resources and attitudes.
* Effective knowledge of Process Safety and its implementation at all operating sites.
