Job title: Material Controller Job Type: Permanent Staff Start date: As soon as possible subject to clearance Salary: £Competitive Benefits Package: 28 Days Holidays 8 Bank Holidays, Pension, Life Assurance, Private Healthcare, Green car scheme etc. Location: Stoke On Trent/ Hybrid Working Available 3/2 Split Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week The Role & Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Stores Team Leader this person is part of a team who is responsible for controlling the materials held within the company stores. Please note this is a manual role where you will be keeping active and your feet, this is not a desk role. Full training will be provided. This involves: *Taking receipt of deliveries *Processing the delivery in the Enterprise resource planning system ensuring documentation is verified and retained. *Store materials ensuring they can be easily identified and their condition is preserved *Liaising with the production team and engineers to understand what parts or components they require in line with their project delivery programmes *Control the issue of materials to ensure traceability is maintained *Ordering and maintaining a stock of consumables where not covered by consignment stock. *Control the issue of PPE ensuring records are maintained *Control the calibration of tools and equipment ensuring the calibration database is maintained The individual must be well organised with a methodical approach, be committed to continual improvement, have a positive and helpful manner whilst ensuring control of materials is maintained whilst supporting the Production Team's successful and timely delivery of the clients bespoke equipment. Their activities must always be completed in a safe manner. This role is predominantly a week day role however occasional weekend working may be required. Qualifications/Experience Required: *Used to working in a team, but can also work independently when required. *Ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads. *Good administration skills and computer literate. *Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. *Professional, methodical, organised, flexible approach. *Forklift License - Desirable if held.
