Teaching Assistant
A specialist school in Stroud is looking for a teaching assistant to start ASAP until the end of the academic year on a fixed term contract. Pay rate is £104 - £115 per day.

The needs of the children include, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism and sensory impairment ranges from ages 5 - 19. The school aims to give all of their students the opportunity to reach their full potential. The school's curriculum varies from academic subjects to sensory lessons and therapies, and skill based lessons to ensure each child's journey prepares them for life after school.
There is a strong focus on ensuring each child feels safe and comfortable within their environment, enabling each child to have the skills they need for their life in and out of school. Someone who has a caring nature and a passion for wanting to help these children would be essential for a successful teaching assistant. Being able to support each child with an individual approach is key for this role.

Role Requirements
* Experience working in a similar role
* Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with individuals with PMLD and interpret their responses and intentions
* Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrating understanding and compassion towards people with PMLD
* Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of a person with PMLD
* Possession of enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to complete one
