YMS Health and Social Care is proud to be a trusted provider to the NHS and Local Authorities across the UK. We are now seeking Consultant Psychiatrists with experience in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments to support a new diagnostic pathway for 16- and 17-year-olds .
This role is part of a high-priority project for a partnered NHS trust, where services will be delivered as part of the community paediatric team. You will join an established team to conduct assessments using the ADOS and ADIR tools, and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and feedback sessions.
Role Overview:
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:
* Conduct ASD assessments using ADIR and ADOS
* Participate in MDT discussions and final diagnostic formulation
* Deliver feedback sessions to young people and families
* Contribute to high-quality, person-centred care that meets NHS clinical standards
Requirements:
* Full GMC registration with specialist registration in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent or General Adult)
* Training and experience in ADOS and ADIR tools
* Experience in autism assessments within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong report-writing skills and clinical judgement
* Comfortable with NHS systems (e.g., SystmOne)
