Based within our West Bromwich depot, the Hire Desk Controller plays a key role at the heart of our operations, sitting on the front line of both sales and customer service. This is a varied and engaging role where relationship building is essential. You will coordinate the full hire process, from taking customer orders through to delivery and collection, working closely with all areas of the depot to ensure a smooth, efficient and positive experience for every customer. This is a fast-paced, desk-based position where youll be in regular contact with stock teams, drivers and engineers, ensuring equipment is available, deliveries are on time and customers are kept fully informed. Day to day, youll be: Taking and processing hire orders accurately and efficiently Coordinating deliveries and collections with the transport and depot teams Liaising with stock, drivers and engineers to ensure equipment availability Building strong relationships with customers through excellent service Resolving queries and ensuring any issues are dealt with promptly Keeping systems and records up to date Working collaboratively to ensure the depot operates smoothly and efficiently For us to help you on your journey to success, youll need: Strong organisational skills Confident communication skills, both written and verbal The ability to adapt in a busy, changing environment A commitment to learning and personal development A full UK driving licence Previous experience within the hire industry or a similar sales or operational role The ability to support your business unit/team in delivering our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver What will we provide?
