Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Greater London (covering Camden, Haringey & Islington)
Salary: £34,660.95 per annum
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Fixed 12-hour shifts (08:00am–20:00pm) on a 2-week rota pattern
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (60 hours)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (24 hours)
Minimum average of 168 hours per month

Service Users: Young people aged 11–18 with emotional and behavioural needs
Qualifications Required: Children’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent relevant qualification within the children’s sector
Experience Required: 2–3 years’ experience within children’s residential care

Who we are looking for: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker with strong leadership capability and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading and mentoring Residential Support Workers
* Acting as a key worker for young people
* Supporting care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning
* Ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld at all times
* Supporting compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Health & Safety requirements
* Supporting inspections, Regulation 44 visits, and wider quality assurance activity
* Coordinating access to education, health, and therapeutic support
* Organising work patterns and supporting daily operational delivery
* Supporting recording systems, administration, and household standards
* Assisting with aspects of home budgeting and expenditure oversight
You will also need:
* 2–3 years’ experience in children’s residential care
* Relevant Level 3 / Children’s Workforce qualification or equivalent
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
* Excellent safeguarding knowledge
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Confidence working within a regulated children’s residential environment
