About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leeds, a category B male prison located in Leeds. HMP Leeds is a busy remand prison, so we have a high turnover of inmates, which makes for a fast‑paced, challenging, but exciting environment!
Hours
Bank – a variation of shifts: 0700‑2030 for days, 2000‑0730 for nights, covering weekends, nights, bank holidays and any rota gaps that may be required for annual leave and sickness.

£23.83 per hour

Responsibilities
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning
* Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care and build strong multi‑disciplinary teams

Qualifications required
* Registered Nurse – Adult
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
Experience
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
