The Role
We're working with a fast-growing digital food and lifestyle channel that creates entertaining, story-driven content for YouTube and social media. They're looking for a Lead Video Editor with a passion for food, a strong sense of humour, and a flair for creating fun, dynamic edits that connect with young audiences.
This is more than just cutting footage - it's about bringing personality, comedy, and creativity into every frame. The ideal candidate will have experience editing for YouTube and short-form platforms, with a style that feels current, playful, and audience-first.
Key Responsibilities
* Edit long-form YouTube episodes and short-form social content with pace, humour, and creativity.
* Collaborate closely with producers and hosts to shape stories and elevate the entertainment value.
* Add personality to edits through pacing, sound design, text, memes, and visual storytelling.
* Optimise content for multiple platforms, ensuring edits are engaging whether they're 15 minutes or 15 seconds.
* Stay across trends in food, comedy, and digital video editing to keep content fresh and relevant.
* Work within brand style but bring your own creative voice and flair.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience editing YouTube and/or social-first content.
* A strong reel/portfolio showcasing creative, funny, and dynamic editing (ideally food or lifestyle content).
* Great instincts for comedy timing, storytelling, and audience engagement.
* Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Photoshop, or motion graphics are a bonus).
* Passion for food, culture, and digital content.
* A "young editor" mindset, playful, experimental, and up to speed with internet culture.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple edits on tight deadlines.
