Your new role
As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of operations within a fast-paced engineering environment. This is a truly hands-on leadership role, where you will spend significant time on the shop floor, working closely with production and quality teams to ensure targets are met and standards are maintained. You will also manage purchasing and supply chain activities, oversee ERP systems, and maintain strong relationships with customers to deliver exceptional service. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and profitability while leading and motivating your team.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong engineering background and proven experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. You will befortable taking a hands-on approach, engaging directly with operational processes and supporting your team on-site. Excellentmunication skills are essential for managing customer and supplier relationships, and you will need experience with ERP systems as well as a solid understanding of purchasing and supply chain management. Strong leadership qualities and financial awareness are also key to driving performance and managing costs effectively.
