What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality support across a range of equipment and technology, including:
* Servicing and installing food production machinery (e.g., slicers, mincers, packaging‑related equipment) and associated software
* Carrying out repairs on retail scales where required
* Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and network‑related faults
* Delivering training to customers on equipment use and maintenance
* Managing spare‑parts stock effectively to support efficient repairs
* Maintaining a professional approach when working directly with customers
* Keeping your company vehicle, tools, and equipment (e.g., hand tools, laptops, ladders) in excellent condition
* Ensuring all Health & Safety and quality‑related procedures are followed
* Maintaining calibrated weights and meeting legal standards during calibration and verification
* Completing detailed reports, documentation, and administrative tasks to required standards
* Attending relevant training and keeping all certifications up to date
* Participating in out‑of‑hours work, overnight stays, rollout activities, or refits when needed
* Visiting head office and supporting ad‑hoc tasks as required by management
