The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated Health Promotion Assistant to provide crucial administrative support to members of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities include:
. Working with Senior Managers to ensure delivery of health improvement projects.
. Acting as a Personal Assistant to Senior Management, managing schedules, correspondence and appointments.
. Supporting the team by coordinating meetings, preparing Agendas, Minutes and Reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
. Be proficient in all Microsoft Packages and minute taking

What we'll need you to bring
Postholders should possess a formal administrative/ secretarial qualification e.g. HNC/HND or equivalent experience, to be experienced in supervising staff, and ideally possess a full clean driving licence.
Excellent computer skills are essential across a range of software packages including word processing and databases. Desk top publishing skills are preferred.
The postholder should have experience of working in an environment which has required the following skill base -

Forward Planning
Initiative
The postholder should be a self-motivated team player who has a minimum of three years experience of secretarial work including general office administration.
Postholders will be required to undertake regular training and learning opportunities to ensure the knowledge and skills required for the post are up-to-date.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
Previous experience in a Health Promotion setting
Previous experience of organising training
Knowledge of Child Healthy Weight and Adult Weight Management Programmes
Experience working in an environment which has required skills in communication, multi-tasking, time management, forward planning and using own initiative
Experience of Powerpoint, laptop, LCD and internet
Experience of using databases and creating reports
Desktop publishing skills preferred
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise own workload
Ability to work unsupervised when required
Contract type
Fixed Term or Secondment for 22 months
Part Time
14.8 hours
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Please note this is a fixed term post for 22 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Beckford Street Hamilton
The working pattern for this role Mon-Fri; 9:00-5:00 pro rata.
