The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated van drivers to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, with weekend availability. 9am starts (8-10 hour shifts).
Job Type: Temp to perm with employed or self-employed opportunities.
The role:
1. Specialising in courier work across England and Scotland.
2. Upon successful completion of the probation period, the position will transition to a set rota schedule.
3. Perform 60-100 stops per day, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and collections.
4. Utilise electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) systems to manage deliveries.
5. Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
6. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
7. Manage time efficiently to ensure all deliveries are completed within the scheduled hours.
Requirements:
8. A valid UK driver’s license with 1-year proven van experience.
9. Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
10. Strong communication and customer service skills.
11. Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
12. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
