Overview
Creative Director role at YOOX NET-A-PORTER. The role guides the visual look and feel of the brand across all touchpoints, including print, online, and physical activations. Leverages insights into culture and fashion to create high-quality photography, film, moving image, design and typography in support of the brand’s personality and objectives.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and guard the brand identity across the website, campaigns, packaging, physical spaces and all editorial content.
* Drive brand awareness and sales through market-leading, innovative, relevant and imaginative creative.
* Create multi-dimensional ideas and storytelling.
* Collaborate with Brand, Social, Editorial, PR & Events to deliver a cohesive 360 approach across channels.
* Partner with Personal Shopping, Studio, UX design and Ecommerce to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to and the creative expression is consistent with NET-A-PORTER brand language.
* Lead a team of art directors, graphic designers, video editors, motion graphics and art workers to realise campaigns and content.
* Create dedicated designer campaigns and special projects with brand partners to support BAU, exclusive capsules and seasonal activity.
* Manage budgets to keep ideas within project allocations.
* Coordinate with Production Team to allocate resources effectively within the creative team.
* Generate ideas and designs for online and offline output including email, onsite promotions, social, campaigns, print, direct mail, digital media, presentations, events, and branding initiatives as briefed.
* Provide leadership and direction for the Creative team; manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of all creative work.
* Art direct and oversee fashion, still life and video shoots to ensure visuals are on-brand, diverse, contemporary and desirable.
* Develop and maintain relationships with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators and designers.
* Stay up to date with fashion, design, film, art, media and technology trends relevant to NET-A-PORTER.
* Build a world-class creative team; conduct biannual appraisals, identify training needs, coach and mentor; assess department needs and conflicts; ensure the team supports business goals.
* Review project work for high quality, consistency and timely completion; continuously improve the creative process.
* Identify succession and recruitment needs for the Design team.
Qualifications
* Proven depth of experience in commissioning and directing design, photography and moving image in a luxury environment.
* Existing relationships with relevant photographers, directors, stylists, etc.
* Strong instincts to identify new and upcoming talent.
* Proven management experience.
* Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills.
* Experience creating visuals for digital and print executions.
* High proficiency in design, typography, retouching using Adobe Creative Suite.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Clear creative vision with exceptional ideas and impeccable taste.
