We've got a great opportunity for a long‑term temp role within the Government Department, to join a fast‑paced office as PA/Diary Manager.
About the Role
The role will cover of activities required to support the Deputy Directors in their daily activities. Key responsibilities include:
* First point of contact for partners, customers, staff and other stakeholders, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
* Managing the Director’s inbox, sorting emails, flagging urgent work and helping workflow.
* Diary management, general team support and prioritising competing priorities.
* Coordinating regular and ad‑hoc meetings, booking rooms, catering and arranging travel and accommodation.
* Delivering secretariat outputs for governance boards or key site meetings, including setting agendas, note taking, producing actions and monitoring outputs.
* Handling a range of corporate tasks with discretion, tact and diplomacy and dealing appropriately with sensitive information.
* Providing cover to support other PA workloads and building a support network.
About the Candidate
Essential skills and requirements:
* Organising and delivering work to tight deadlines.
* Working across teams and within a team.
* Effective communication skills with a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders (orally and in writing).
* Working on own initiative and prioritising workload to meet conflicting objectives.
* Attention to detail.
* Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
