Role Overview
The Procurement Manager’s role is to negotiate and procure sub-contractors and maintain good subcontractor relationships. They manage and monitor the procurement processes across Lawtech and work closely with Commercial and Site teams.
Founded over 20 years, Lawtech have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage, monitor, coach and appraise the Procurement Team and ensure that they are aware of correct processes and procedures.
* Creation, management, and monitoring of procurement processes for all sites
* Development and Maintenance of supply chain database and expanding the supply chain.
* Building strong working relationships with potential Sub-Contractors.
* Manage tasks in good time exceeding the agreed procurement schedule and budget.
* Negotiation and placement of timely sub-contractor orders
* Agreement of terms with subcontractors
* Maintenance of preferred supplier lists and current pricing information.
* Maintenance of current information on Lawtech’ s systems including Probe and relevant accounts system
* Working with Sub-Contractors to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Regular communication with supply chain including a 2-way feedback process.
* Standardisation of ordering and requisition procedures across sites around UK as appropriate
* Set up, maintenance and training of Lawtech staff to ensure procurement and ordering processes across the business are effective and efficient.
* Provide analytical reports including monthly board report.
* Liaison when required and necessary with our PQQ/Tender processes
* Management and review of action lists
* Attending, interdepartmental meetings to improve communication, systems and process.
Skills And Qualifications
* At least 3 years’ experience in a Procurement Manager role.
* Experience working alongside sub contractors is essential.
* Construction Management experience
* Microsoft competent (Excel, Office etc)
* Negotiation skills
* Good verbal and written communication
* Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
* Goal driven.
