Here at Fonterra, we are committed to growing our people. We value you and your career progression and are excited that you are taking this next step in your career journey with us. We are proud to offer a wide variety of roles across the Co-op, ensuring that no matter what business unit or stage of life you're in, there's a good chance we've got something to suit.
Established in 2012, our Darfield site has three production plants – two milk powder plants including a world’s largest spray drier producing 33 metric tonnes per hour, and a newly operational cream cheese plant producing 4.5 metric tonne of cream cheese every hour. During peak season, we process up to 7.2 million litres of milk every day.
Alongside our production plants are two Dry Stores which receive approximately 800 1.5t pallets of milk powder a day, and a Cool Store which receives approximately 100 cream cheese pallets a day. All pallets are put away in either bulk storage or satellite racking. Product is then picked daily and packed into approx. 50 export containers, ambient and reefer.
