We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated ASD Speech and Language Therapy Support Staff to join our committed team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about significantly impacting children with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Support the learning, social, and emotional needs of students with ASD, working closely with the class teacher and speech therapists.
* Engage and motivate pupils with autism, helping them achieve their full potential through tailored speech and language interventions.
* Build trust and confidence among pupils and staff.
* Be a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner focused on improving the quality of learning.
* Maintain effective communication with children, young people, and other staff members, adapting to diverse backgrounds.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) in a similar or transferable role, specifically in speech and language therapy.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Ability to inspire, challenge, and stimulate both pupils and staff.
* Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
