Production Manager – Wakefield
💷 £50,000–£55,000 + benefits
We’re working with a successful and continually growing business in West Yorkshire who are looking for a Production Manager to lead their fit-out team. This is a key role where you’ll be shaping the department, driving performance, and making sure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading a team of fabricators and welders, ensuring quality and efficiency.
* Working closely with sales and internal teams to plan and allocate workloads.
* Managing contractors and specialist staff as required.
* Making sure technical drawings and specifications are followed accurately.
What we’re looking for:
1. Experience managing specialist build teams, ideally within a fit-out or project-based environment.
2. Strong background in modular, bespoke, or industrial equipment production.
3. Proven track record of building or developing a department – hiring, processes, and driving operational performance.
4. Confident working with customers to make sure projects meet requirements and sign-off standards.
5. Ideally, a qualification in Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma (but experience counts just as much).
