We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and machinery while adhering to safety standards. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for supervising maintenance staff and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across the plant.
* Conduct emergency lighting tests and portable appliance testing in line with schedule.
* Support and deliver continuous improvement projects to enhance factory productivity and reduce downtime.
* Confidently connect to and program PLCs and inverters as part of fault diagnosis and repair.
* Use your knowledge of safety systems to ensure compliance and conduct risk assessments for all tasks.
* Source parts/materials and work closely with suppliers and the technical admin team.
* Use CMMS systems (ideally Shire) to manage work orders and maintenance logs.
* Mentor apprentices, helping embed classroom knowledge into real-world application.
Requirements
* Experience in food manufacturing
* NVQ Level 3 or above in an Engineering subject relevant to FMCGs
* Recognised qualification in electrical competence including 18th Edition
* Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
* Holds a HACCP Level 2 qualification (preferred)
* Knowledge of TPM either through leading projects or working in a TPM environment (preferred)
