Senior Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham
Tier 1 Main Contractor
Salary (Dependant on experience) + Car/Car Allowance + Package
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a large scale infrastructure project. This NEC 4 project is in their early phase with plenty of continuity left to run on it. This would be working for a Specialist civils contractor which is growing at a very fast pace which would guarantee continuity of works and maximising progression potential.
Key points:
1. Oversee and manage project, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
2. Lead the commercial management of NEC 4 contracts, including forecasting, cost reporting, and contract administration.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with client expectations.
4. Drive cost efficiency through value engineering and effective procurement strategies.
5. Ensure robust risk management and contractual compliance across all projects.
6. Mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
7. Report on project performance and provide strategic commercial insights to senior leadership.
8. Person Specification
9. Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
10. Experience working with NEC 4 contracts option C
11. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets particularly within sub contractor delivery
12. Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
13. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
14. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (RICS or CIOB accreditation is desirable).
The ideal candidate:
15. Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
16. Experience working with NEC 4 contracts option C
17. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets particularly within sub contractor delivery
18. Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
19. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree / Higher, Advanced or Foundation qualification or to have or working towards Professional Qualification relevant to the role
