Do you have a can-do attitude and take pride in your work?
We’re looking for a housekeeping supervisor to join #TeamUHD on a full-time or part-time basis.
You’ll need to be organised and able to communicate effectively—ensuring wards and departments are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
What we can offer you in return:
* Enhanced annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
* Generous NHS pension scheme
* NHS discounts at thousands of retailers
* Working with a friendly, inclusive team
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital
You will provide supervision, instruction, and training to our team of Housekeeping Assistants.
Allocate staffing to ensure priorities are met and cleaning frequencies are maintained.
Lead and work as part of a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained.
The Housekeeping team is responsible for cleaning the whole Royal Bournemouth site; you will be allocated a zone on each shift and will visit the Housekeeping Assistants on duty in their location.
Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin everything we do now and in the future, guiding how we treat patients, visitors, and colleagues.
UHD is investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed following the merger and the New Hospital Programme.
This may involve relocating some services, either temporarily or long-term. Recruiting managers will be happy to discuss this at interview.
Please note, if the role or service relocates, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute.
This post is part of the Operational Estates service, which may transfer to an NHS ‘wholly owned subsidiary’ in October 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, expanding organisation committed to NHS values and patient care.
For more details about the role, please read the full job description and person specification attached to this advert.
This advert closes on Thursday 11 Sep 2025.
