Effective troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues or recreate to enable appropriate escalation. Experience with Operating Systems, basic networking, software installation and configuration, remote support skills, and IT administrative tasks. Ability to act upon initiative and effectively manage workload, prioritizing under pressure with attention to detail. Highly effective interpersonal skills: flexible, committed, enthusiastic, promotes sharing of ideas, supports team members. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: Provide exemplary first line IT technical support to internal colleagues while demonstrating excellent customer service. Manage, inspire, and develop a team of 1st line support analysts in the South region to deliver high-quality support services. Troubleshoot and resolve 1st line technical issues, hardware, and application support queries. Act as a gatekeeper for escalations to senior members of the Service Desk and third parties, ensuring a thorough triage process is undertaken. Proactively minimize technical issues by implementing strategies to prevent them before they occur. Independently evolve skills to respond to changing IT challenges and ensure a seamless colleague experience. Prepare endpoints, manage their lifecycle support, and oversee decommissioning of hardware. Travel within the local geography to support field-based colleagues and specific issues as needed. Consider the user experience in every interaction, demonstrating empathy and patience. Carry out additional duties commensurate with the role.
