We are keen to recruit an experienced Paediatric Nurse who is looking to develop their professional leadership and clinical skills within our amazing team in Children's Services at Colchester Hospital, which has recently been approved as a High Dependency Unit Level 2.
At East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, we deliver high-quality, compassionate care and strive to provide a positive patient experience in a safe environment.
We are a 20-bedded Children's Ward with 2 HDU Level 1 Beds and 1 Level 2 bed, caring for patients requiring high dependency interventions including CPAP, BiPAP, and Long Term Ventilation.
We value our workforce and support you to achieve your full potential. If you have the skills for the role, we would love to hear from you.

The role involves managing and developing the nursing team within the Children’s Ward, providing professional and clinical leadership to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care to children, families, and staff.
You will work with nurses and other team members (MDT) on a one-to-one or group basis to enhance clinical skills and practice across areas where children are cared for, developing and improving clinical skills and practice.
You will deputize for the ward/unit manager to ensure appropriate senior cover at all times.
