National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of UK’s transition to our net zero energy future. We operate a number of HVDC Interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to some of our closest neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK.
As well as already owning a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors, we’re working on developing new projects to ensure that we are able to meet the UK’s future demands for greener energy solutions.
We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Analyst within the UJV Operations team within National Grid.
Reporting to the Senior Contract and Commercial Manager, the Contracts Analyst is responsible for ensuring we have contracts in place with our supply chain, and suppliers are ready to deliver our operational requirements.
As a Contracts Analyst you will be responsible for a portfolio to ensure we effectively manage the supply chain for our stakeholders, ensuring the right contracting approach is followed.

This role is based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
* Raise and manage purchase orders and invoices, tracking costs for payments.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure business requirements are met.
* You are able to support the day-to-day requirements of our Stakeholders and processing Spend Request Form's for services, managing and monitoring contracts and tracking costs for payments.
* Monitor contract performance and address any issues that arise or escalate where required.
* Support on contract-related matters to other team members and stakeholders.
* Provide challenge and review of processes to ensure consistency and enable improvements
About You
* Basic understanding of contract and supplier relationship management.
* An appreciation of using a Contract Management System (CMS) and Coupa / an invoicing and payment system.
* Basic knowledge of contract law
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collate and present information in a concise manner to a range of stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as using own initiative.
* You take ownership of your workload and can manage multiple work requests at any one time.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £39,057 - £42,503 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
