A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Specialist Practitioner to join a values-driven organisation supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. This role covers the South of Scotland and requires regular travel; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential. The successful candidate will support the strategic implementation of Positive Behaviour Support across services, promoting a proactive, person-centred approach to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life. Key Responsibilities of a Service Manager: Support the strategic implementation of a Positive Behaviour Culture. Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop PBS plans. Support staff teams to reduce restrictive practices and improve support strategies. Deliver training and workshops to adult learners. Facilitate team and individual debriefs following incidents. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centred planning. Monitor and report on outcomes related to behaviour support strategies. Promote best practice in line with care standards and legislation. Key requirements a Service Manager must have: Level 5 PBS qualification (or ABA qualification with minimum 1 year PBS experience). Willingness to work towards Level 6 or 7 PBS qualification if not already held. Significant experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism who present behaviours that challenge. Experience in developing and implementing PBS plans. Knowledge and experience of reducing restrictive interventions. Experience delivering training and supporting reflective practice. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); SharePoint knowledge desirable. Knowledge of care standards and social care legislation. Strong interpersonal and collaborative working skills.
