About Pearson Assessment Services: The Pearson Assessment Services (PAS) team provides assessment services to UK and international markets, supporting government education departments with project management, operational delivery, and technical solutions. We support curriculum, qualifications, and assessments for students in the UK and globally, delivering exams to over a million students in more than 80 countries annually.
About You: You should have experience with complex projects involving CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Python scripting, and troubleshooting. You will work on fast-moving projects and contribute to design decisions.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Solid understanding of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and cloud implementation, with hands-on experience.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code deployment using Terraform.
* Proficiency in building and deploying applications with DevOps practices, using tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket.
* Experience with Amazon AWS services: EC2, VPC, Data Migration Service, Lambda, RDS, S3, SNS, IAM, EventBridge, Step Functions, and security management.
* Experience with Database Services: Amazon Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.
* Proficiency in Python scripting for automating AWS services.
* Knowledge of enterprise database solutions like Oracle and MS-SQL.
* Experience with large-scale data environments.
* Ability to create release documentation.
* Knowledge of GCP services such as Datastream, BigQuery, CloudSQL is a plus.
* Experience with JIRA, Kanban boards, and agile methodologies.

Location: The role is based in our Manchester, Rotherham, or London offices. The position involves hybrid working with visits to the office no more than once a week, subject to policy changes.
