As a Housing Advice Officer, you’ll be at the frontline of the service—providing expert advice, processing housing applications, and helping households navigate their options under the Housing Act 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017.

About the role
You’ll work within our Housing Advice and Triage Team, supporting applicants through face-to-face appointments, telephone helpline, and online applications. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your work will make a real difference in people’s lives.
To thrive in this busy front-line service, you’ll need excellent administration and organisational skills, along with a genuine passion for supporting households at risk of homelessness.
You’ll be part of a dynamic triage team, acting as the first point of contact for applicants seeking help. We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage sensitively with vulnerable individuals
* A collaborative mindset and team spirit
* Confidence in managing competing priorities under pressure
* A commitment to delivering a high-quality, person-centred service

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
