We own and operate four packing facilities in multiple global locations including California, Mexico, Peru, and UK. Our global distribution network includes 12 forward distribution centers in North America, China, and Europe, which promote company expansion into new territories and categories. Throughout our history, we have remained rooted in honesty, respect, and loyalty to provide a year‑round supply of high‑quality fruit from field to fork.


Responsibilities

* Develop and promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with external regulations, industry standards, and retailer requirements.
* Manage health and safety responsibilities, including risk management and protection of workers and external stakeholders.
* Create a strong safety culture, encouraging independent personal responsibility and fostering interdependent teamwork on the Bradley Curve model.
* Establish a comprehensive Risk Assessment framework & governance.
* Ensure effective management, measurement, reporting, and control of all accidents and incidents, with timely escalation to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
* Maintain suitable 1st Aid provision according to identified risks.
* Provide training and SOPs that meet risk assessment, accident, and incident requirements.
* Consult employees to identify regulatory and operational risks and implement internal controls.
* Adopt, update, and communicate all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Document, investigate accidents to true root causes, and implement improvement actions.
* Deliver health & safety inductions and ongoing training for all employees.
* Perform routine risk assessments to understand compliance risk and scope.
* Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
* Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings, record and report outcomes, follow up and maintain actions.
* Record findings and work with management to ensure timely rectification.
* Establish a structured health & safety training program.
* Review and drive compliance of site H&S policy and management system.
* Gather information in response to regulatory requests; collaborate with management to investigate irregularities.
* Receive and manage external inspections.
* Keep current with all aspects of health, safety & welfare at work and communicate changes to stakeholders.
* Assist corporate team with audit follow‑up on health and safety matters.
* Empower department managers to lead local health & safety initiatives.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

* Health and Safety qualifications: NEBOSH and/or IOSH, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Clear understanding of best practice and implementation.
* Experience managing Health & Safety in the food industry.
* Excellent communication and verbal skills at all organization levels.
* Fluency in English.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong troubleshooting and spreadsheet development skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional teams and deliver initiatives.
* Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong analytical and data‑analysis skill set; able to multi‑task and handle simultaneous projects.
* Excellent relationship building at all levels of the organization.
* Proven track record of building and maintaining cross‑functional working relationships.
* Team‑work orientation: balance individual and team responsibilities for group efficiency.
* Organizational skills: prioritise tasks and handle emergency situations under high stress.
