Job overview
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of A Level Psychology for this academically selective school. This is a maternity cover role from January 2026 to January 2027. Both full-time and part-time applications (minimum 0.6) will be considered.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. No experience of working in the independent sector is required and the post would suit a newly qualified entrant as well as a more experienced member of staff. A willingness to participate in the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school is expected.

The Psychology Department
Psychology is a popular A Level subject at KEHS, we follow the AQA specification. We currently have two classes in the Lower Sixth (Year 12) and three in the Upper Sixth (Year 13). Psychology examination results are excellent: in % of students achieved an A* with 100% gaining an A*- B.
We are committed to extending students' learning beyond the classroom and the specification, through trips, visits, and outside speakers. There are currently well attended student-led Psychology Clubs; these cover a range of topics and allow students in lower years to learn more about Psychology whilst deepening the knowledge of our A Level Psychologists. We offer support to students through targeted lunchtime intervention and revision sessions. Each year, several of our students choose to study Psychology or a related discipline at degree level at a range of Russell Group universities.
