Job Title: Full-Time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Rebourn, Hertfordshire (AL3 postcode area)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and exciting educational environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs, working alongside teachers and other professionals to help deliver tailored learning experiences that foster individual growth and development.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting children's educational, social, and emotional needs within the classroom. You'll be working in a vibrant and engaging atmosphere where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children with a range of Special Educational Needs in the classroom and throughout the school day.
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing tailored support for students.
Work closely with other staff members to track student progress and implement strategies for their individual needs.
Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom setup.
Provide pastoral support and encourage positive behaviour.
Support students during lunch, break times, and other non-teaching activities when needed.
Work collaboratively with parents and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
About You:
Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with Special Educational Needs.
Strong transferable skills, with the ability to adapt to various learning needs and environments.
A DBS check is required (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
Patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning and development.
Ability to work well within a team and independently, using initiative when necessary.
A sense of humour and a positive, can-do attitude-this is a fun and exciting school environment!
