Junior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: London (3 days office/2 days home)Salary: £30,000Benefits: To be confirmed
A growing building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support their London-based design team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stage of their career who is looking to develop within a supportive consultancy environment.
The Role
You will assist in producing electrical designs and supporting senior engineers across residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with electrical building services design work
* Support production of drawings using CAD software
* Carry out basic lighting calculations using Dialux or Relux
* Assist with preparation of technical documentation
* Support compliance with British Standards and UK regulations
* Attend internal design meetings and assist senior engineers
Requirements
* Basic knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD preferred)
* Familiarity with Dialux or Relux
* Understanding of the 18th Edition (BS 7671)
* Basic understanding of Fire Alarm Design Systems
* Relevant qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or working towards)
* Strong willingness to learn and develop
