JOB – Maintenance Engineer
LOCATION – Slough
TERM – Permanent
SHIFT PATTERN – 4 on 4 off days (7am-7pm) or nights (7pm-7am)
My client is a manufacturer of specialist machinery. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Slough on a permanent basis.
The Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Strong hands-on Engineering skills – fault-finding, dealing with machinery failures, maintenance, breakdown, repair
* Time Served Apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar in an Engineering discipline
* Come from a Mechanical or Electrical background
* Able to work safely and methodically
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team
* A flexible and proactive attitude towards work
The Maintenance Engineer role will involve:
* Working in a team to improve and maintain machinery
* Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment
* PPM and breakdown avoidance
* Ensuring documentation is maintained and Health & Safety standards are met
* Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
* Working with others and being an excellent team player
