This is an exciting and varied role supporting the Digital Team with various tasks to improve the website. As Ecommerce Assistant you will be the day-to-day owner of birdandblendtea.com and play a key role in supporting our ecommerce strategy. You will be passionate about the world of ecommerce and about website experience - always looking out for new user experience trends and always questioning why the websites you use ‘don’t work right’! You will be a people person, fostering great working relationships with key stakeholders, including our ecommerce lead, brand marketing teams, CRM and Customer Experience, to inform and support their goals to surprise and delight our customers Operating as a hands-on problem solver, you will work closely with the Ecommerce Manager. You will be their trusted support, collaborator and facilitator while using your time with them to develop your own skills. Key Responsibilities Own the publishing of products and updating of website content using Shopify (website platform). Own reporting and analysis of all relevant metrics to inform improved activity. Work with digital agencies and third-party sites (or internal channel owners) to manage tasks. Updating our blog and improving imagery and customer experience across the website. Helping to administer Shopify apps & implement website updates. Assisting the Brand Team to bring new products, campaigns and marketing activity to life across digital channels. Conduct SEO fixes & reporting activities General administrative / ad hoc tasks to support the Digital Team. About You This is a role for passionate self-starters who really want to be in an environment where they can learn & build skills for their future career. We are looking for driven individuals with a keen passion to learn and an ambition to deliver results. This person will need a solid understanding of websites (ideally ecommerce) and will be able to learn new technologies & skills quickly. You will have a commercial & analytical mindset being able to interpret briefs & problem solve on a day-to-day basis. You’ll be extremely organised and good at prioritising multiple tasks & responsibilities. You will be able to offer the following skills and experience Passion and tons of it! For tea (but not essential!), digital media, technology, customer service, food, creative skills, business, people, or all of the above! Drive and initiative, willingness to get stuck in where needed Organised and proactive in your approach to your own work and development. Comfortable working with technology but with a creative mind too. Thrive in a busy environment & consistently perform to a very high standard. Previous experience setting up, maintaining or working on a website - be this for fun or for previous roles. An analytical mindset - used to working with numbers and / or spreadsheets. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Endless enthusiasm and positivity. You leave people feeling energised and with more clarity about what they should be doing and why they’re doing it.
