Category Manager - Off-trade We’re looking for a dynamic Off-trade Category Manager to shape the future of our category across the Convenience and Cash & Carry channel. Drive insight, influence, and growth to ensure our portfolio of beers reaches more customers, more often, in more places.
This opportunity combines our brands, our people, and our category. You’ll join a business with strong, fast-growing names, working within a passionate and expanding team. The beer and cider category is fast-moving, highly competitive, and constantly evolving, offering a role where no two days are the same and the potential to make a real impact is large.
As part of the AUK Category team, you’ll be the voice of the customer and the champion of our brands. You’ll build compelling stories from data to unlock opportunities that are commercially sound and mutually beneficial.
Responsibilities
* Shape how our brands appear on shelves and influence buying decisions through category thinking that benefits all stakeholders.
* Directly manage several high-priority accounts while supporting the wider customer base with analysis, collaboration, and forward-looking insight.
* Deliver strategic initiatives and drive the annual planning process.
* Develop strong commercial relationships, guiding buyers toward fixture development that supports growth and brand ambition.
* Embed the category strategy with credibility, bringing fresh, innovative solutions to improve availability and profitability.
* Lead customer range reviews and advise on annual channel plans to maximise growth opportunities.
Qualifications
* Proven FMCG experience, ideally with exposure to category management.
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; adept at handling complex datasets.
* Familiarity with market data sources such as Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, or dunnhumby.
* Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders inside and outside the business.
* Ability to translate data into compelling customer stories; able to balance autonomy with collaboration, prioritise effectively, and deliver results with tenacity and commitment.
* Genuine passion for the category and the drive to make an impact.
