Senior / Sous Chef – Orion by Alex Webb

We are now looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
The Role
As Sous Chef at Orion, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and support the Head Chef in delivering consistently high standards.
You will:
• Support the running of service and confidently run the pass when required
• Be capable of taking charge of the kitchen during occasional shifts
• Assist with kitchen organisation including ordering, prep planning and stock control
• Cook confidently across all sections including fish, meat, garnish and pastry
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
• Work closely with the team in an open kitchen and Chef’s Table environment
• Help drive a positive, focused and professional kitchen culture
About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a quality restaurant
• Has experience running the pass during service
• Is confident cooking fresh food across all sections including pastry
• Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure
• Takes pride in maintaining a well structured kitchen
• Enjoys working in a visible, open plan kitchen environment
• Has a genuine interest in seasonal produce and seafood led cooking
Working Pattern
• 48 hour contract
• 5 days out of 7
• Kitchen typically opens at 10am and is closed by 11pm
